Today’s Bite-Sized Self-Care: Shake It Off
Have you ever noticed how dogs often shake their whole bodies? And not just when they’re wet, but often when they’ve been excited or stressed? “Dogs are absolutely genius in this way. They get rid of little stresses as they occur rather than letting it all build up, as we people are so adept at doing.”1

Shaking out your body is a great way to relieve stress, by releasing muscle tension and triggering relaxation responses in the body.
Today’s Challenge:
Just like my dog Indy in the video above, let’s give ourselves a moment to shake off our stresses. Find a safe and comfortable space, and get your whole body into it. Shake your head, your arms, and legs–let it all out. Pay attention to how you feel before, during, and after. Feel the tension leaving you.
